The Business

CM Maps and Socials was founded in 2022 after being an idea for more than 3 years.

Carlee McIsaac, CM Maps and Socials founder, began with a question most of us have asked before traveling – where should I get dinner in a city you’ve never been to before?

Prior to her first trip to Las Vegas in late 2019, Carlee and her friend were researching places to eat. She realized while searching on Google Maps and through social media platforms like Instagram that a business with strong branding can still look inconsistent across these many platforms – by no fault of the business itself.

How can they be inconsistent? There are numerous platforms a business can be active on online, along with the fact it doesn’t take long for information to become out dated or incorrect on the internet.

With the many tasks business owners already deal with day-to-day, CM Maps and Socials was founded to help businesses improve their online presence by focusing on online mapping platforms like Google Maps and Social Media.

The Founder

Carlee McIsaac is the owner and founder of CM Maps and Socials.

Born and raised in Alberta, Carlee is a proud LGBTQ Indigenous woman from the Piikani Nation in Southern Alberta.

She has a combined degree (BA in Geography and a BA in Communication + Media Studies) from the University of Calgary. With additional credits in Emergency Management and GIS, Carlee works full-time in municipal government.

Carlee strives to treat everyone with respect and kindness in every part of her life.

Work-life balance is key to Carlee. So what does she do when she isn’t working full-time and running her own business? You can find Carlee spending time with her family/partner/friends, attending Calgary Expo (comic convention) every year, planning vacations, or playing one of the several instruments she knows including guitar, bass, drums, ukulele or a little bit of piano.
